SilkAir, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, will add more flights to a number of regional destinations during the coming Northern Winter period (30 October 2011 to 24 March 2012). This is in response to growing demand for air travel in Asia.

In China, Chengdu, province Sichuan, will see an increase from the current three flights a week to daily flights, while Chongqing will be served by five flights a week, an increase from the current three times weekly services.

In India, Bangalore will be served by five instead of four flights a week.

The new Northern Winter schedule also includes SilkAir’s latest holiday destination: Koh Samui in Thailand (see SilkAir will fly to Koh Samui starting 27 September 2011).
