Six Senses has confirmed that the Six Senses Laamu in the Maldives will open as planned on 2 April 2011.

Six Senses Laamu is an eco-friendly resort surrounded by clear turquoise water and white sandy beaches. Located on Olhuveli Island, it offers free Wi-Fi and has 6 food and beverage outlets.

Each spacious private villa is equipped with a Bose entertainment system, Internet access, outdoor covered bathroom and rain shower.

Guests of Six Senses Lamu can choose from 6 food and beverage outlets on Olhuveli Island, including an over-water wine cellar and an ice cream parlour. The resort also has an organic garden.

Other facilities include the famous Six Senses spa with a wide range of therapies, a gym and a pool.

Six Senses Lamu is a 40-minute flight from Male International Airport to Kadhdhoo Airport, followed by a 15-minute boat ride.
