Nigel R. Edwards has been appointed as general manager of the newly refurbished and reopened Hotel Equatorial Shanghai.

Edwards, a New Zealand national, has extensive experience in the hospitality industry, including 14 years in the Asia Pacific region. Most recently he supervised the refurbishment and re-branding of the Copthorne Hotel Qingdao where it was the official media hotel for the Olympic sailing events.
