Virgin Blue announced that it would begin non-stop daily services between Sydney and Hamilton Island, with the services to begin from the 4th of July this year.

Departing daily from Sydney DJ1281 in the mornings and return from Hamilton Island in the afternoon, the service will be operated with a Boeing 737 and also offer the airline’s premium economy offering.

To celebrate the launch, the carrier is offering one-way $99 tickets until Monday 18th of May, for travel between 4 July – 19 August 2009 and 1 November – 9 December 2009.

Virgin Blue's daily direct flight will depart Sydney at 10:15am and touch down at Hamilton Island at 12:45pm before departing the Island at 1:15pm and landing in Sydney at 3:45pm.
