Incheon International Airport has been named the world's best airport by Airports Council International (ACI).
The airport, which opened eight years ago, won the accolade for the fourth consecutive year, beating rivals such as Singapore's Changi Airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
The annual awards, dubbed the "Nobel Prizes in the airport industry," are based on the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey.
The survey was based on the results of over 250,000 passengers who accessed 34 airport service factors - seven services and 27 facilities/operations.
Incheon International airport also garnered top positions in three other categories: Best Airport in Asia-Pacific and Best Airport in the mid to large range and the Airport People Award for the Asia-Pacific Region.
