Singapore Airlines began flights between Kuwait and Singapore, via Abu Dhabi, on March 16.

The new, four times weekly service will operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, using the Boeing 777-200 aircraft.

"The start of our service to Kuwait at this time emphasises the value and importance of tourism, trade and business links between the two countries," said Singapore Airlines executive vice-president marketing and the regions, Huang Cheng Eng in a statement.

Besides Kuwait, the airline flies to four other cities in the Middle East, including Jeddah and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia and Abu Dhabi, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
