Hilton Hua Hin this opened the curtains on a first for Thailand - an outdoor, poolside cinema.

Popcorn and hotdogs were at the ready as the hotel launched its new cinema with a VIP 'cinematic splash' launch party featuring celebrities DJ & VJ's and top Thai models.

The pool side picture house is set to become a box office hit opening its doors once a month and allowing guests to cool off while watching some of the hottest new films.

Speaking about the new facility General Manager Markus Schmidt said “Hilton Hua Hin is a great spot for business or pleasure and our poolside new cinema makes for a unique way for our all of guests to relax and be entertained at the same time.”

With its beach front location, Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa features spectacular views of the South China Sea set amidst secluded gardens. The hotel is close to the centre of this coastal town which has been the seat of the King of Thailand’s Summer Palace since the 1920s.

The 296 renovated rooms and suites are decorated in a contemporary Thai style, all with private balconies, ocean views and wireless internet access.

Guests can choose from a wide range of restaurants and bars including the award winning White Lotus, a roof top Chinese restaurant serving exquisite Cantonese and Szechuan specialties, The Market, the resort’s all-day dining restaurant, or Hua Hin’s most popular drinking spot — Hua Hin Brewing Company.

The Spa, occupying a sprawling 1,200sqm on the Mezzanine level, features ten of Thailand’s most exquisite and luxurious treatment rooms, all with stone relief carvings, sumptuous silks, and Asian artifacts.

Guests can choose from a complete spa experience, from the most modern Western therapies to traditional Oriental treatments. The Massage of Kings is a specialty, blending Swedish, Thai and Ayurvedic traditions with aromatherapy.

Perhaps the most unique feature of the resort is its adventure club, Siam Adventure Club, which takes care of golf and tour arrangements for guests looking to explore the town. On venue, Hilton Hua Hin’s leisure facilities include two floodlit tennis courts and two squash courts, a beachfront swimming pool with Jacuzzi and slide, and a fitness centre with a gym, aerobics studio, sauna and steam bath. The fully supervised Kidz Paradize programme ensures that children are kept entertained throughout the day.

Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa also features extensive MICE facilities for up to 600 people, and guests can choose to hold their events at any of 35 locations around the resort. Tailored teambuilding packages are also available for companies looking to hold a meeting with a difference.
